We’ve simply grown so used to the absence of justice that when an innocent person is sent to prison, we feel sad. And when the authorities, out of fear, give an innocent person a five-year suspended sentence, we rejoice and congratulate one another. If someone out there thinks that from now on I’ll shy away from every rally and any kind of activity out of fear that an administrative offense could turn a suspended sentence into a real one, they are mistaken. I did what I thought was necessary, and I will continue to do what I believe is necessary and right.
