I wanted to spend Good Friday reading something edifying and reflecting on eternal matters, but that’s not going to happen. Once again, like yesterday, we’ll have to discuss whether Lisovenko, the "deputy with a doctor’s note," is a drug addict.
Just look at the quotes from his statement and decide for yourselves:
That line — "since ancient times, an officer-pilot has been" — was the hit of yesterday’s hearing. Though in my view, the Epistle to the Galatians is underrated. After all, it is funny even to imagine that a member of "United Russia" (Russia’s ruling political party), and especially a "Head of a Municipal Formation" (municipal leader), might engage in anything other than fornication, impurity, enmity, jealousy and, above all, idolatry.
The statement reminds me of a classic: “We had two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, half a salt shaker of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multicolored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... as well as tequila, rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and amyl nitrite. Not that we needed all that for the trip. But to file a complaint against Navalny, it should have been enough.”
