This morning brought us some joyful news: ~~Dr. Haider has started eating again~~ Rosneft may be kind enough to finally disclose the incomes of its executives, if other state-owned companies do the same.

All it took was a scandal covered by every more-or-less independent media outlet in Russia for these masters of the universe to toss us, like a lord granting a favor: fine, we’ll think about it. Let me remind you that 85% of Rosneft’s shares effectively belong to the state—that is, to us.

To make it easier for the general public and journalists to see who has published what and who has not, we put together a special table on the subject. It is current as of yesterday, so if you know of any changes, please write to us.

Please note that for the companies on the “failures” list, we give the most common reason: the company is not a state corporation (but, for example, an OJSC—Open Joint-Stock Company) and was created not by federal law, but by some other legal act, most often a government decree.

Interestingly, the comments on the post about Sechin show a great deal of enthusiasm for the idea of drafting a bill that would require these “state businessmen” to publish not only information about their income, but also its sources. OK, we’ll do it—and we’re counting on your support in helping promote the bill publicly.
