It's amusing how all of this turned out.
Far, far away in Russia, beyond the Arctic Circle, there was the city of Norilsk, shrouded in dreadful smog that was breathed by people with very short life expectancies. Those people dug into the earth at a huge plant, built in Soviet times at an unimaginable human cost. What they extracted was sold abroad so that the proceeds could be used to pay the luxury tax on the excessively high salaries of the basketball players on one of New York City's teams.
Was all of this capitalism and the result of the Invisible Hand of the Market at work?
