Who even comes up with all this? They’ve probably watched too many films about frontal charges from the Civil War era.
When the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) asks that a person under house arrest be remanded in custody, and the prosecutor’s office supports it, in Russian reality that means actual detention 99.9% of the time. This is already the second time for me, and once again, after a three-hour recess, they leave the house arrest order in place.
Are they trying to scare me? Well, it’s unpleasant, of course—especially because my relatives get anxious—but in that case it would be better if someone ran out of the courtroom in a bedsheet yelling “Boo.” How many times can you scare someone with arrest? Eventually, every feeling gets dulled.
Most likely it’s because we refuse to stay silent about the case. They even say so in the report attached to the motion to change the preventive measure:
They are absolutely infuriated by posts like this, by the document published there, and by this website: http://delo.navalny.ru/
Anyway, there’s no point guessing. We will never understand the logic of these crooks. Thanks to everyone who supports us. We’ll keep working, keep our spirits up, and definitely not be afraid.
