Nine months of battling the local Justice Ministry, three completely unlawful registration refusals—but on the fourth try, here it is:

At one point, we planned to hold the first congress of what was then the "People’s Alliance" in Yekaterinburg, to emphasize how important the issue of regional rights is to us, and the need to return power from the Kremlin to the country’s cities. Moscow-centric politics got in the way here too—a congress anywhere else costs three times as much. But Yekaterinburg, in any case, made a major contribution to the party’s creation, both in terms of personnel and ideology.

Congratulations to the regional branch on its registration, which took such a long fight to secure.
