I’m presenting the results of a survey conducted by our sociological service.
This was our first international project: we surveyed people in another country to understand what residents of those territories think about “Novorossiya.”
The topic is extremely important, there is a lot of speculation, and we very much wanted to obtain reliable information about public sentiment. As you know: you can trust no one, except us. ACF conducts its opinion polls as impartially as possible and in full compliance with proper procedure.
In Ukraine’s case, we understood that the results might please no one, so we did everything according to standards as close to ideal as possible. We even had a dedicated interviewer who spoke Ukrainian.
It is currently impossible to conduct surveys in Donetsk and Luhansk (we tried unsuccessfully), so for this poll we chose Odesa and Kharkiv regions.
These are precisely the regions considered “very pro-Russian,” and they occupy a central place in all discussions of “Novorossiya,” appearing on all the relevant maps.
Here is a typical map from a typical post by the internet’s most hardcore Putin supporter, just for clarity:
For now, I’ve decided to keep my own comments on the survey results to myself, so as not to distract you from the numbers. They are quite interesting.
Take a look—I assure you, this is the genuine public opinion of residents of Ukraine’s Odesa and Kharkiv regions.
Many thanks to our wonderful volunteers for helping conduct the survey: Anna, Oksana, Anna, Leonid, Yulia, Elena, Misha, Misha, Oksana, Lidiya, Kolya, Lena, Anya, Maksim, Nikolai, Olga, Pavel, Irina, Katya, Mikhail, Oksana, Tanya, Timur, Georgy, Adilya, Anton, Oksana, Olga, Viktoria, Denis, Svyatoslav, Vladislav, Elena, Kolya, Sergey, Irina, Liza, Anya, Eleonora, Polina, Marina, Roma, Dima.
Special thanks to Galya Koposova (it’s her birthday today—congratulations!) and to the head of our sociological service, Anna Biryukova.
And our next poll—which we’re starting this week—will be nationwide across Russia. Come help.
