Look at this news: the government has decided not to introduce a duty-free threshold for online shopping:

And yet everyone was saying that this decision (an absolutely idiotic one) had been made once and for all, 146%.

Nevertheless, it was scrapped, and I am sure that the 100,000 people who voted on ROI (the Russian Public Initiative platform) for its repeal made a huge contribution to that.

The authorities can see that this is not just an idea that is dubious from an economic point of view (though when has that ever stopped them), but also one that mobilizes a large number of citizens. If 100,000 people voted, that means millions are unhappy.

That is why I always say: voting on ROI will not automatically produce good laws, but it will demonstrate that an idea is serious. It will show that people need it and are prepared to keep pushing until they get results.

Once again, I urge everyone to vote for our initiative to ratify Article 20 of the UN Convention against Corruption. If we want something, let us show it in every possible way.
