Is that a lot or a little? The 2 trillion rubles (about 2,000 billion rubles) that Rosneft is asking the state for — and will apparently receive, since its application has been approved — (as Finance Minister Siluanov revealed to us today).
Anything measured in trillions is a lot — but on the other hand, it may not be that much on Rosneft’s scale.
Here are four figures that make it easy to judge whether what Rosneft is asking for is a lot or a little compared with the size of the company itself, its debt, and Russia’s entire National Wealth Fund.
