"Grazhdanskaya Oborona" is a cult Soviet and Russian rock band. Its founder, permanent leader, and only constant member was Yegor Letov. The band was founded by Yegor Letov and Konstantin Ryabinov (Kuzya UO) in Omsk on November 8, 1984. It was one of the most influential punk bands in Russia and the USSR (the Soviet Union).
