I’m reading the FSB briefing materials on Alburov and the ACF that Zhora is posting on Twitter, and I can’t help laughing as I remember that just recently, in the town of Plyos, a museum was robbed and five paintings by Levitan—one of Russia’s greatest artists—were stolen.
And that theft is being investigated by some hapless local cops from Plyos and the Ivanovo region, the kind who have a cucumber and a sausage sandwich in their holster instead of a pistol.
But here, look at that: a sealed border, FSB generals, the Investigative Committee’s main investigative directorate, wiretaps on several phones.
And do you see who Zhora’s prosecutor is? The famous Lakhtin—he handled the “second Yukos case”!
As they rightly say, new times demand new art:
Let me remind you that the reason for fabricating the criminal case against Zhora and Nikita was their organization of dachings (satirical visits to officials’ dachas, or country houses) and the publication of information about officials’ property. It would be right to make your position on the issue clear by voting for our bill against illicit enrichment.
