Some utterly unimaginable story out of Yekaterinburg.

A certain “Dagestani businessman” parked his SUV, with the license plate number 001, at a bus stop. Two people at the stop—who turned out to be scientists from the Russian Academy of Sciences—called him out on it. He then started beating them in front of everyone, opened fire with a traumatic pistol (a non-lethal handgun), and then drove away.

For a “chip in tooth enamel,” as we know, they hand down four and a half years, but here the victim is in intensive care and the “shooter” is released under a travel restriction.

What wonderful judges they have in Russia. They seem to exist solely for the comfort of people with 001 license plates on their cars.

Yevgeny Roizman writes that the scumbag has finally been arrested, but it took a scandal and coverage in the federal media for that to happen.

And what if the scientist hadn’t died, but had come out of intensive care permanently disabled? What if they hadn’t been scientists but janitors, and their story had drawn no media attention?

They would have just swept the whole thing under the rug. Judges should be put on trial for this.

P.S. Almost 80 thousand. Don’t forget to vote.
