An absolutely must-read investigation by Zhora Alburov into the assets of the founder of the newly formed “Anti-Maidan” movement.
It turns out that the hawkish deputy Dmitry Sablin is married to the niece of former Moscow Region governor Gromov—the very same one under whom billions of dollars were siphoned out of the budget quite directly through decisions by the finance minister.
This “Anti-Maidan” activist has been sitting in the State Duma for ten years and reports an annual income of 2 million rubles, which apparently did not prevent him from acquiring this modest little mansion in the village of Zhukovka on Rublyovskoye Highway.
The house sits on nearly a hectare of land (about 10,000 square meters / 2.47 acres) and, of course, does not appear in his disclosure forms.
You look at something like this and realize: this “Anti-Maidan” crowd clearly has something to protect.
