United Russia’s anti-crisis solution: people need to eat less

The ideal United Russia deputy has been found—the one who truly embodies the party. He should be appointed immediately as Speaker of the State Duma and head of United Russia’s supreme council.

Ilya Vladimirovich Gaffner of the United Russia faction in the Sverdlovsk Region legislative assembly inspected local stores and concluded that “prices have gone up by about 25 percent, and that’s not so terrible,” and that if people don’t have enough money, then “they should just eat less.”

Deputy Gaffner himself is the fortunate owner of three apartments: 80, 110, and 240 square meters. So most likely, his own diet will remain unchanged.
