I read Meduza’s piece with interest: Accountable Figures: How Officials in the Presidential Administration’s Domestic Policy Directorate Work.

They analyzed correspondence from Presidential Administration staff that was hacked by “Anonymous International” (a Russian hacktivist group). Most of it consists of emails from Timur Prokopenko, Volodin’s chief aide. This young lout serves as deputy head of the Domestic Policy Directorate and is supposedly responsible for everything from preparations for the State Duma elections to a whole lot more besides.

The overall conclusion: they don’t do a damn thing except read my blog and Twitter.

I never really doubted that they see everything the ACF (Anti-Corruption Foundation) and the Progress Party do as the biggest threat, but I didn’t expect this attention to be on such a scale and so comical in nature.

Can you imagine how much better our country would be living if these top officials—on whom so much money is spent, and who have pulled powers from across the entire country into their Moscow offices—actually did their jobs instead of wasting time on nonsense?

Here’s another anti-crisis proposal from the ACF: I demand that my blog, Twitter, and Facebook be blocked in the Kremlin and on Staraya Square (the location of the Presidential Administration in Moscow).

They’d be better off reading reports on the socio-economic situation in the regions and charts showing rising food prices.
