If someone from Moscow publishes a post at 9 a.m., it means they especially want it to be read in Siberia.
That applies to me right now. On June 7, I’ll be in Novosibirsk—come along if you’re interested in talking, listening, and asking questions. We’ll meet at 4:00 p.m. on the embankment by the "City Beginnings" Park.
The event page is here; all permits from Novosibirsk City Hall have been obtained.
I’d also like to draw your attention to the fact that at 6:00 p.m. on June 5, the Stray Dog café will host open debates between candidates in the Democratic Coalition primary. The winners will form our joint "RPR-PARNAS" election slate and lead the opposition into the elections in Novosibirsk Region.
The debates will be moderated by Tatyana Lazareva, and many thanks to her for that.
There are already 13 people hoping to make the slate, and there will be more.
Personally, I’m very glad that we are bringing real politics back to life.
When was the last time an election slate was still unknown shortly before the vote, with candidates competing by arguing their case in debates?
That is exactly how a strong opposition should take shape: through internal competition, open discussion, and above all, a common vote.
The names of those who will be able to call themselves "the opposition in Novosibirsk" will be determined by the votes of Siberians themselves. Want your opinion to count and your candidate to get support? Don’t put it off—register as a voter in the primary right now.
Election slates will also be formed through voting in Kaluga and Kostroma Regions. Visit the site and become a voter.
