It actually doesn’t matter where you live. You’d have roughly the same choice in your region too. It’s an interesting thought experiment: look at the candidates registered for the primaries in Novosibirsk Oblast (region) and decide who you would vote for.
Would it be a good thing if candidates like these became the face of the opposition in every region of Russia? It’s interesting to think about what they should be like: younger or older, more unconventional or more conservative. What gender, and what age.
Take note: on each candidate’s page, you can ask them questions, and they answer. And Taiga.info put together a composite portrait of the Democratic Coalition candidates.
Candidate registration in Novosibirsk is over, and here Tatyana Lazareva is addressing her fellow Siberians (it sounds nice in Russian: “fellow countrymen from Siberia”) with a call to register as voters, support their candidate, and help form the best slate:

Tatyana—and many thanks to her—has agreed to come back to her hometown for a day especially to host the open candidates’ debate. 6:00 p.m. at the Stray Dog café. There will also be a livestream online—watch it on Taiga.
Come, ask questions, and decide who you feel closer to.
I’m coming to Novosibirsk on June 7. Come to the meeting at 4:00 p.m..
The local crooks from United Russia have already started busying themselves with petty dirty tricks. For example, they’re distributing leaflets like this:
Very good—it means they understand that their real political support in the city is much smaller than they would like.
Come, we’ll discuss everything, and I’ll answer all your questions. By the way, in Novosibirsk today they’re setting up five campaign cubes—join in.
Also worth noting: Ilya Yashin has decided to run in the elections in Kostroma Oblast (region), and he will take part in the primaries.
So the campaign promises to be interesting.
If you are officially registered in Novosibirsk, Kostroma, or Kaluga, then hurry and register as a voter in Kaluga, Kostroma, and Novosibirsk. If you live somewhere else, just look over the candidates, pick the one you like, and campaign for them from anywhere—whether from Moscow or Ulan-Ude.
In Novosibirsk, I’ll be at the embankment of the Gorodskoye Nachalo Park on June 7 at 4:00 p.m.;
In Kostroma — June 9, Architect Rybnikova Square, 6:00 p.m.;
In Kaluga — June 11, Yachenskaya Embankment, observation deck, 6:00 p.m.
Come along.
