The candidate fell short by exactly one vote, ended up in a non-winning spot on the list, and did not become a deputy. He had everything going for him: he was honest, decent, and hardworking. But he did not get enough votes.

That is how democracy works, whether we like it or not.

Today is the last day for voter registration in Novosibirsk Region. Those who register will decide how the 15 candidates are ranked on the election list. Some will get winning spots, while others will face a tougher path. The top three will become the “face of the Siberian opposition,” in full accordance with the will of local residents.

If you are from Novosibirsk Region: register right now, choose your candidate, and support him — he needs your vote.

If you are not from Novosibirsk Region, you should still choose your candidate and message your friend or acquaintance there — ask them to register and vote for the best candidate.

Very few decisions in Russia are made on democratic principles, through fair voting. Our list is being formed exactly that way. If we have a chance to vote, then let’s vote.

Voter registration in Kaluga and Kostroma Regions will remain open a little longer (due to specifics of local legislation), but do not put it off — register anyway.
