And they lined them up in front of them like schoolchildren and started questioning them (from 0:40): so how exactly did it happen, what was this piece of paper, under what circumstances?
And in the end, they rejected every single one of them! They even declared the signatures of candidate Sazonov's own brother and sister to be fake.

And then there's Novosibirsk, where a hunger strike is underway in protest against candidates being barred from the election: today, the Central Election Commission's working group is supposed to meet to consider our complaint, but at first they decided to hold it behind closed doors, away from the press.

It turns out that today Novosibirsk Region Governor Gorodetsky hurriedly galloped over to see Putin. He is supposed to report to his Dark Lord about the scandal over barring the opposition, after which Putin is expected to decide personally what is safer: to undermine the myth of 86% support, or to take the risk of allowing an election that may still be unfair, but at least competitive.
