Some Anti-Corruption Foundation (ACF) employees were so outraged by the campaign to destroy food products that they naturally started looking for government purchases of Parmesan. Specifically, purchases dated after the introduction of the "counter-sanctions" banning European food products.
It turned out that our officials are happily stuffing themselves with "sanctioned" food. There are countless examples; here are three typical ones.
Regularly places government orders for banquets featuring sanctioned food products.
For example, one order for buffet catering for Moscow City Hall worth more than 4.6 million rubles
The menu lists sanctioned items: "assorted cheeses: Brie, Roquefort, Gruyère, Dorblu"
A recently held banquet costing 7 million rubles also included products banned from import on the menu:
A salad with shrimp and Parmesan cheese paid for with 300,000 rubles of public money?! Why, that's treason against the Motherland!
The police like to eat well too, and they are in no hurry to comply with the president's decrees. A catering contract worth 8.3 million rubles also includes products from the sanctioned list:
And it's the same across every agency, every state unitary enterprise, ministries, and state institutions. They eat Dorblu cheese, wipe their lips with a napkin, and then turn to the camera to explain how right it is to destroy European food products.
The petition to repeal the decree on destroying sanctioned food products has already gathered more than 300,000 supporters.
