Everyone is asking what I think about this.
I have nothing new to add:
As you may recall, the full name of the “Anti-Maidan” movement is “The Movement to Defend Senator Sablin’s Property, Acquired Through Bribes and Fraud Thanks to His Marriage to the Niece of a Governor Who Stole Billions from the Moscow Region Budget”, so the only statement these crooks should be making to the Investigative Committee is a confession.
The complaint concerns my interview with Echo of Moscow (a Russian radio station), about the exclusion of the opposition from the elections in Novosibirsk Oblast.
I fully stand by what I told Echo, and more than that, we brought people out into the streets in Novosibirsk just yesterday for a completely lawful event.
It may not have been that many—around 400 to 500 people—but that is still several times more than this same “Anti-Maidan” managed to gather in the same city by offering free food. That says a great deal both about the city’s residents and about which issues they see as truly important. All this nonsense about the danger of “extremists” interests no one, but many are demanding the right to choose.
We will keep working and do our best to bring more people out.
And on September 13 in Moscow, we will call on people to take to the streets in full accordance with the law and the Constitution. We will demand our right to participate in the elections.
And you, Messrs. Sablins, Putins, Volodins, and Peskovs, have only one effective way to stop these rallies: meet our 146% lawful demands and allow the united opposition, represented by the Democratic Coalition, onto the ballot.
I have nothing more to add about Anti-Maidan’s complaint; Volkov said it all at yesterday’s rally:
