Vedomosti reports that Belozerov was pushed into the top job at Russian Railways by the Rotenberg brothers, who want to make some extra money from rail contracts. The road construction contracts that Belozerov used to secure for them are no longer enough.
Well, okay—there’s no way we’re abandoning old man Yakunin, but we’ll be getting acquainted with Mr. Belozerov too.
