Elections are a celebration, and celebrations mean gifts. So our gift to the people of Kostroma is the still-smoking hide of the shady United Russia politician Kalashnik, who wants to become a deputy again.
You can watch this character in the campaign debate with Yashin. He speaks very convincingly about what a fine and honest party United Russia is.
Kalashnik’s words are about as trustworthy as his campaign financial disclosure.
The Anti-Corruption Foundation once again provides documentary proof that United Russia is a party of crooks and thieves.
So, on June 29, 2012, a certain Mr. Sergey Kalashnik from Kostroma city became the 100% shareholder of the Cypriot company MDSK Limited.
The name seemed familiar to us. Then again, there could be plenty of Sergey Kalashniks in Kostroma city. But fortunately, the record listed the man’s address as 142 Nikitskaya Street. We checked the address and found in the extract, in addition to his first and last name, his patronymic as well.
Sergey Kalashnik from Kostroma city turned out to be Kostroma resident Sergey Viktorovich Kalashnik.
We dug further through the Cypriot documents and found in one of them his date of birth: March 31, 1978.
So we can now definitively establish that the owner of the offshore company is the valiant deputy Sergey Kalashnik, a member of United Russia, the party that so proudly claims to be fighting de-offshorization.
Now let’s see whether he disclosed the foreign assets he owned at the time the election was announced, as required by law.
Of course he didn’t—he’s a representative of United Russia, the party of crooks and thieves.
They shout about fighting offshore schemes and about democrats who have sold out to the West, while quietly stashing their own cash there and refusing to tell their voters about it.
As of now, United Russia member Kalashnik has already dumped the offshore company shares by transferring them to someone else, and we are continuing to investigate this.
In any case, Kalashnik failed to declare shares in a foreign company, even though he owned them when the election was called. That is a violation, but unfortunately a candidate’s registration is not canceled for filing false disclosures. Still, information that Kalashnik submitted false information—in other words, that he is a crook—must be published in the media and posted on notice boards at election commissions.
The more important consequences are political, but only we can make those happen. The fact is this: a sitting United Russia deputy running for re-election is deceiving voters. If United Russia does not force him to withdraw his candidacy, that means they see nothing wrong with it.
Let’s send a link to this post to every resident of Kostroma Region we know. And if you live in the region yourself, post it on your social media.
You must not vote for United Russia—they are crooks.
Vote only for RPR-PARNAS.
