In October 2013, we launched the project http://pension.fbk.info/ against what was then the first "pension robbery"—the seizure of the funded portion of pensions, which the government coyly calls a "freeze."
This directly affects nearly 25 million people, and we called on everyone to pressure lawmakers to vote against it.
About 65,000 people took part in the campaign at the time. The government saw that yes, the decision was unpopular, but there were no major protests, so it did what it wanted, while claiming it would not do this again.
Nevertheless, the following year they did it again. And said that this time they definitely would not go any further.
And today, *Vedomosti* reports that the "freezing" of pension savings will most likely be extended for another year.
Quite something. The emperor has no clothes. So working-age citizens—whose numbers, let me remind you, are shrinking rapidly—are supposed to pay for the government out of their pension savings.
We'll pay for major building repairs, we'll pay the property tax, and we'll hand over our pension savings too.
Let's give the naked emperor even more money, so his entourage can go yachting again.
And here is the "extremist" conclusion: the silent outrage of 25 million people means nothing until 300,000 of them take to the streets to say they refuse to solve the problems of the naked emperor.
Then, perhaps, the government will at least start thinking about scraping together its own reserves and cutting spending instead of reaching into our pockets.
