And this morning I was very surprised. A couple of days ago, Sasha Astakhova called me and said: we’re going to collect signatures in support of Oleg, I hope you won’t mind.
Of course I didn’t mind, but I did not expect to see such a parade of stars in today’s Novaya Gazeta, led by Nobel Prize winner Svetlana Alexievich.
Hundreds of people have already joined in and are signing on Novaya’s website.
On behalf of our whole family, I want to say a huge thank you for this very important support. Oleg himself does not know about this letter yet, but his lawyer will tell him this evening.
