Tell me, what did you think Peskov would say? Of course, he says they haven’t reviewed anything and “haven’t had time to read it yet”:

I think they themselves don’t understand what to do now. They can’t say “it’s all lies” — the documents are attached, publicly available, and anyone can check them.

Their favorite old tune — “things aren’t so clear-cut here, and we’ve forwarded the materials for review” — doesn’t really work either. The fact is: the wives of senior prosecutors were in business with the Tsapok gang. An official review will conclude and declare: from the standpoint of the law, the families of the prosecutor general and his deputies have every right to do business with Tsapok, Tsepovyaz, and Hitler. That would be the literal truth. They do have every legal right. But then what — keep Chaika in office?

I can hardly imagine Putin calling Chaika: Yury Yakovlevich, why on earth were you killing people?

Or the other way around, Chaika calling Putin: Vladimir Vladimirovich, I’m calling to say that we didn’t kill anyone, and if we did, we didn’t do it personally.

So the only possible strategy for them is to pretend that nothing happened and that they know nothing.

Under no circumstances can they allow this nightmarish, catastrophic discussion even to begin: is the prosecutor general implicated in the Tsapok case, and are his children involved in corporate raiding and cartel collusion?

But for us, it’s the opposite. We need to tell everyone about the investigation and discuss it every time the words “Chaika” and “prosecutor’s office” come up.

Many people asked for a notice to post in their apartment building entrance. Here it is:

You can download it as a PDF here and print it on a home printer (black and white will look fine too).

Right now, our film has 670,000 views and has been the most popular video on Russian YouTube for the second day in a row.

That means 5 million views is a realistic goal — let’s make it happen.

By the way, here’s some interesting news. We released it at just the right time, and the film “Chaika” has officially been included in the program of the Moscow documentary film festival “Artdocfest”. Hooray. Go over there and vote for it.

And one last thing. Tomorrow is Putin’s address. He’ll be there, along with the whole pack of officials. I’m asking all the journalists who will be there to do something useful for the public and get as many of these “men in ties” as possible to say what they think we should now do about the Chaika family’s prosecutorial mafia.
