So let’s take a look at what the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation wants us to believe after announcing the completion of its investigation into the murder of Boris Nemtsov and naming Ruslan Mukhudinov—the driver of Ruslan Geremeyev, commander of the Chechen battalion "Sever" ("North")—as the mastermind and organizer of the crime.

According to the Investigative Committee, driver Mukhudinov:

While serving as an Interior Ministry employee, he supposedly had no trouble arranging a months-long posting to Moscow for himself and several other servicemen in order to surveil Nemtsov.

Throughout this entire "posting," he somehow made sure that both he and the others kept receiving their salaries and that no one asked any questions about their absence.

Used a Mercedes-Benz ML 300 4MATIC with license plate A007AR.

Specifically purchased a ZAZ Chance TF698P with license plate T649KE.

Bought several mobile phones.

Rented two apartments in Moscow and obtained a pistol.

Came up with "no less than 15 million rubles" (as stated in the case materials) to pay the participants in the assassination attempt.

And now we are expected to believe that an operation involving that many people and costing hundreds of thousands of dollars was organized by driver Mukhudinov. His salary for three years would not even have covered the apartment rentals.

There are no photos of driver Mukhudinov online; the only thing available is a police sketch:

There are, however, plenty of high-quality photos online of people who actually had the means to organize and finance such an operation.

They were not even questioned.
