Yakunin has come up with a new, absolutely brilliant explanation for our attempts to open a criminal case against him over embezzlement at Russian Railways (RZD, Russia’s state-owned railway company).
RBC published a major article, "Crash of the Millennium: How Millennium Bank Is Connected to Vladimir Yakunin," about how the now-bankrupt Millennium Bank lived off Russian Railways money and financed Yakunin’s personal projects.
It also includes a comment from Yakunin’s representative in response to a question about the investigations we initiated:
So, just as Vladimir Ivanovich Yakunin was apparently about to resolve the world’s conflicts, then... bang... boom... along came the ACF (Anti-Corruption Foundation) and ruined it all in the interests of the Washington and Israeli warmongers. Or, in a more modern reading, dancing to the tune of extremists from ISIS and Ankara.
Classy.
