This is just ridiculous by now. How far into absurdity can people go to protect the business interests of Artyom Chaika?
Remember, this morning I wrote about a report by Vedomosti (a Russian business daily): they found that in the Antimonopoly Service’s approval for the purchase of the Tyret salt mine, the contact person was listed as a certain citizen named “A. Yu. Chaika.”
And now it has emerged that after Vedomosti published its report and after my post, the Federal Antimonopoly Service erased the references to Chaika. It removed his name.
Congratulations to the head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, Igor Artemyev, on such a brilliant solution: well done, now everything is hidden and no one will know that the country’s largest salt mine is being bought by Chaika.
Nicely done.
