Who exactly is the “opposition”? Name by name, I mean. It’s unclear, and it’s also unclear who gets to decide that. In elections, even genuinely opposition parties just hand us a list and say: these are the people who should become “opposition deputies” (members of parliament), vote for them.
But why them and not others? I have a vote, and if a party wants to win it in an election, then it should give me the chance now to influence who goes on its candidate list.
I want everyone who claims to be “the opposition” to make videos like this, compete with each other, and prove that they are the best candidates. To challenge one another and argue. To organize supporters online who would follow me through the comments and try to persuade me: vote for ours, he’s the better opposition candidate.
If around 100 people are competing for the top spots on the list, then let’s choose the best 20 of them and have them work for us in 2016 as the “leaders of the opposition” in the parliamentary elections.
