I haven't seen a headline this wrong in a long time, like the one in today's Forbes:

"Kirill Shamalov became Russia's youngest billionaire."

Obviously, the correct version should be: "Kirill Shamalov became Putin's son-in-law, and then Russia's youngest billionaire."

And today we have the "Direct Line with President Putin" (the annual televised Q&A with Vladimir Putin), and the imagination is stirred by a wild thought — what if someone suddenly went ahead and asked: "Tell us, how did it happen that your son-in-law became Russia's youngest billionaire?"

However, two other headlines of the day gently but firmly bring us back to reality.

First:

And then, when there was still a faint hope that someone might depart from the script:

At that point it became clear that no one would depart from the script, and no one would ask about the billionaire son-in-law.

Instead, we'll hear about the restoration of Palmyra, preparations for celebrating the 71st anniversary of Victory Day (marking the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany), and the schemes of enemies who want to impose a unipolar world and diminish our role in World War II.
