1993. I had just finished school. I was 17 years old. Elections to the State Duma (the lower house of Russia’s parliament) were underway, with Yavlinsky, Khakamada, Ryzhkov, Zyuganov, and Zhirinovsky taking part. I was interested in politics, but I wasn’t allowed to vote.

Twenty-three years passed.

2016. I was 40 years old. Elections to the State Duma (the lower house of Russia’s parliament) were underway, with Yavlinsky, Khakamada, Ryzhkov, Zyuganov, and Zhirinovsky taking part. I was interested in politics, but I still wasn’t allowed to vote.
