The “Yarovaya package” is not just a set of bad and harmful bills. It is an act of betrayal toward our country and sabotage against the economy, citizens, and organizations.

Because of this “package,” communication services will become more expensive and worse. Businesses will lose revenue, workers will lose income, and all of us will have to pay more out of our own pockets.

And this is no longer just the speculation of some armchair analyst — it is the view of the companies themselves, including state-owned ones.

Everyone’s phone calls and private correspondence will be recorded wholesale, becoming easily accessible both to crooks in the security services and to ordinary crooks who want to spy on you for profit or simply out of curiosity.

That is why we need to speak out against the “Yarovaya package,” hold rallies, and collect signatures.

The signature drive on the Russian Public Initiative website (ROI) against this idiocy is currently the fastest in the site’s history.

It has already reached 41,000 votes. The current pace is 400 signatures per hour.

We fully understand that this campaign will have no direct legal consequences; the initiative will not be put to a vote, just as happened with all our previous initiatives. But collecting 100,000 verified votes is still useful as a way of formalizing our clear political demand.

It will be clear to everyone that this is one of the most popular demands in the country: only a handful of times have 100,000 signatures ever been collected through this complicated procedure.

So add your signature too — it won’t take much of your time.

And honestly, I’d very gladly go to a rally over this as well.
