We copied Novaya Gazeta and held a State Duma vote at today’s editorial meeting.
We made exactly the same ballot as the one that will be used in September and set up a ballot box.
Under the rules, opting out of voting was not allowed (although one person still didn’t put their ballot into the box).
Our results differ sharply from Novaya’s:
More than 50% of the votes were spoiled ballots. I was surprised myself. During the discussion, it turned out that people had started spoiling their ballots as an alternative to a boycott.
Whoever voted for United Russia did not admit it.
