This can’t possibly be the result of the massive reconstruction we’ve been watching for so long.

Because here—sorry very much—there’s actually less space for pedestrians than there used to be.

And “space for pedestrians” was precisely the main rationale—and the fetish—behind this whole fuss.

It really is just marble graves and a “Tashkent-1975” design aesthetic (I don’t remember who first put it that way, but it’s spot on).

So this is the kind of project that Strelka received 1.8 billion rubles from the city budget for?
