I will continue introducing you to honest, decent people who are changing the situation in our vast country every single day.

This is Sergei Boyko, a member of the Central Council of the Progress Party. He is an independent IT entrepreneur from Novosibirsk. I have known him since the Democratic Coalition primaries, which were successfully held in Novosibirsk last year. He lives in Novosibirsk, he works in Novosibirsk, and he consistently, methodically, and persistently fights the local crooks and thieves in power.

Last year, Sergei ran in the elections to the Novosibirsk Regional Council of Deputies as a PARNAS candidate. Together with Leonid Volkov and dozens of local volunteers, Sergei personally collected signatures to get on the ballot. They managed to gather 17,000 flawless signatures, and then came the infamous story involving Darya Timurkovich. You surely remember it. Sergei had a real chance not only to take part in the election, but to win it as well—otherwise the authorities would not have staged that spectacle at the election commission or brought in the FSB (Russia’s Federal Security Service) to keep him off the ballot.

As you may remember, after he was removed from the ballot, the Novosibirsk campaign headquarters went on a hunger strike. In the end, we were still not allowed to take part in the election, and Sergei ended up in intensive care.

This year, Sergei is running again as an independent candidate. He is fighting the local crooks for a seat on the Novosibirsk City Council. And Sergei’s chances of winning are excellent: he is running in his home district, where he himself has lived for many years, where people know him and support him. He speaks for the district’s real problems and is actively campaigning. The crooks understand this, which is why they are pouring serious money from their party sponsors into the election. All Sergei needs in order to win is not to fall behind his opponents in the number of leaflets handed out, posters put up, and banners displayed. Put simply, it is purely a matter of funding.

Help him.
