It’s a strange job title, I admit — “head of video production” — but that’s exactly who we need.

You’ve probably noticed that we’ve started putting out videos regularly, and we want to do it even more often.

We have a YouTube channel (subscribe!) with 81,000 subscribers. Our main videos get between 150,000 and 400,000 views, which is pretty good and, most importantly, helps us reach a growing audience that doesn’t want to read posts.

We’ve set up a basic workflow, we know how to shoot, and we’ve taught several people how to edit.

But for now, production is still largely manual — complicated, tedious, and stressful. We need someone who can put everything in order, take responsibility for the whole process, and deliver the best possible video content.

Our immediate goal is 1 million subscribers on the channel, two or three videos a week, and one weekly live stream in the style of “Special Opinion” on Echo of Moscow (a well-known independent Russian radio station).

In short, we’re looking for someone who can be both producer and director — the person in charge of the YouTube channel.

Requirements:

- strong convictions and a desire to build a project that can effectively break through the wall of censorship;

- an understanding of how everything works, the ability to do things yourself when necessary, and to organize the people who do the hands-on work;

- a deep understanding of how YouTube works and how video blogging on YouTube works — promotion, analytics, and all the rest of it;

ideas for how to present an investigation in video form so that it’s easy to understand without losing its substance;

- creativity, initiative, and responsibility;

- it’s important to understand politics and follow current events closely;

- we need someone cheerful (we think we are) and not easily intimidated (we try to be that way too).

In short, you need to be on top of everything and be a decent, hardworking person who loves making videos.

If that sounds like you, and you want to work at the best organization in the world — the Anti-Corruption Foundation — where you’ll be fighting evil instead of boosting sales or putting together quarterly reports, then write to us at video@fbk.info

Your email should include:

A résumé

Links to all your social media accounts

References (if you have them)

A one-page essay on the topic: “How I will help ACF spread information and fight censorship if I work there”

A video of your own making, created for us. Length, format, quality — all of that is up to you. The main thing is that it should be a special video made after reading this job posting, so that your email stands out from the rest.
