And how she started out! Like some noble queen bringing light to filthy savages. *She carries herself like a peahen* (quote). So full of dignity, so certain she was in the right. She called ACF’s lawyers “uneducated boys.”

And remember how many wonderful columns there were? “Perhaps this time we really are seeing change, and the elections will be fair.”

And how it ended.

Yesterday, the Central Election Commission held its key meeting—summing up the State Duma election results—at night. The meeting began at 12:21 a.m..

Like rats, or thieves sneaking into a dark corner to divide up what they stole.

Fewer journalists, fewer speeches, no one watching the livestream, no one asking uncomfortable questions.

Ella Pamfilova and her CEC were only just short of wrapping up the election results in the glorious style of the election commission in the town of Reutov (near Moscow), where during the count they cut the power and, in the dark, stuffed in 1,000 votes for United Russia:

Pamfilova should have done the same!

Journalists, candidates, and party representatives come in for the announcement of the election results; she opens the meeting, says “Dear friends” with her sincerest and kindest smile—and then, bang, the lights go out.

The clatter of dishes, rustling in the dark.

Fifteen minutes later the lights come back on, and the journalists find themselves in an empty hall. A cleaning woman is mopping the floor and says to them irritably: what are you all sitting around for, go home, the commission finished ages ago.

By the way, do you know why these crooks met at night, even though according to the previously approved schedule the results were supposed to be finalized today during the day? The answer is very simple: before certifying the results, the CEC itself is required to consider complaints about fraud.

And after certifying the results, they cheerfully tell everyone: go to court. Found the exact same result—62.2% for United Russia—at one hundred polling stations in a row in Saratov Region? Well then, go file your case in the local district courts there.

Here are some routine cases where the election results were clearly drawn up in an Excel spreadsheet—they came out that identical across different polling stations:

Pamfilova understands perfectly well that an ever-growing wave of irrefutable evidence of election fraud is coming in. She does not want to review it; she wants to shrug and say: well, sorry, the Malgobek interdistrict court decided everything was legal, and we must respect the court.

That is why they met at night—they were afraid of getting buried in complaints in the morning. Complaints that, incidentally, we were preparing too. Yesterday we managed to file only nine: eight where there was video of ballot stuffing, and one on Saratov’s 62.2%.

But the anomalous 62.2% does not trouble the ever-so-honest Ella Pamfilova. She sees no violations; all of this “isn’t worth a damn”.

Wikipedia tells me that a googol written out in digits looks like this: 10 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000

I do not even know how to say this in Russian. The probability of such a coincidence in the results at polling stations in Saratov Region is one in a googol? Like that?

And yet even a number with a hundred zeros seems to Ms. Pamfilova not worth a damn.

I do not even want to comment on that wonderful quote about “sucking it out of thin air.” I am afraid I might violate the law on protecting public morals.

So, forgive my bluntness, but I consider Ms. Pamfilova a criminal. She should stand trial.

Here is the Party of Progress’s statement on the results of the “elections”.

P.S. And do you know what else, honestly, just infuriated me?

The CEC includes guys from different parties. There is a guy from YABLOKO too; formally he was not appointed by the party, he came in through the presidential quota, but in practice he is YABLOKO’s representative on the CEC, replacing Dubrovina after she left. He used to work under FAS chief Artemyev (Yavlinsky’s deputy), and now he has moved over to the CEC.

Well, he voted to recognize these elections and did not even file a dissenting opinion. The Communist did, but the YABLOKO man did not.

Yes, YABLOKO’s leader came to the CEC and said the party did not recognize the legitimacy of the elections “because of low turnout,” but when it came time for the formal paperwork, they said: yes, we recognize them. They voted for it and signed their names.

You can watch the video too. Start at 1:47:00. YABLOKO’s representative is second from the left.

How can you do that, honestly? Your own votes were stolen. It is just disgusting.
