Chechnya parliament speaker Daudov beat the head of the republic’s Supreme Court in his office
Magomed Daudov, speaker of the Chechen parliament, attacked acting Supreme Court chairman of the republic Takhir Murdalov in his own office, the outlet reports. According to the outlet’s sources, Daudov, also known by the nickname Lord, arrived at the courthouse accompanied by ten vehicles, and about 40 of his associates cordoned off the building. After that, Daudov went into Murdalov’s office and “began beating the acting chairman, demanding that he write a resignation letter citing health reasons.” According to Kavkaz.Realii, Murdalov refused to sign the document, and then several guards joined Daudov in beating him. Daudov also threatened to kill Murdalov. “Killing is no act of courage—you’re incapable of anything more. I have nothing to lose,” the judge allegedly replied.
