Prisoner Navalny refuses to take the path of reform. Accordingly, his release on parole has been deemed inadvisable. The prison colony, the prosecutor’s office, and the court were unanimous.

To support this claim, the facts on the basis of which Oleg was designated a persistent violator of prison rules were read out once again today.

— was lying on his bed at 5 a.m.;

— bread crumbs were found on the table in his cell;

— did not identify himself in the prescribed manner;

— took off his standard cotton uniform jacket in his cell while doing push-ups.

And so on. In total, he has 11 outstanding violations. For such offenses, the punishment ranges from a reprimand to 15 days in a punishment cell (SHIZO, a punitive isolation unit). Oleg has been sent to SHIZO many times already.

As I wrote on Twitter, this list of “violations” is in fact a chronicle of torture. A man is kept in solitary confinement, watched on camera until he takes off his jacket or falls asleep, after which he is written up and sent to SHIZO.

There was an incredible exchange on this subject:

Oleg: I lay down on the bed because my back hurt.

Prison colony representative: a prisoner is not allowed to lie on the bed.

Judge: he is alone in the cell; if he is not sleeping, what position is he allowed to be in?

Prison colony representative: the prisoner has been provided with a stool.

Yes, try sitting on a stool for 12 hours a day for 3.5 years.

Oleg put it exactly right in court. The strictest regime in Russia’s penal system is prison. In prison, there is a separate severe punishment: six months in solitary confinement. Yet Oleg, whose formal sentence is under the “general regime,” has already been held in a solitary cell for a year and a half.

Of course, this is torture. The Kremlin thieves are holding a hostage and tormenting him.

All right, God is no fool. Sooner or later, everyone will get what they deserve.

Oleg himself sends his regards to everyone. He is studying law by correspondence. The colony informed the court that his grades are “good” and “excellent.” He is studying Spanish and Portuguese. Someone is even somehow managing to teach him programming by correspondence.

In other words, he is trying to make good use of his time on the stool.

You can write to him in two ways: via Russian Post at 303900, Oryol Region, Naryshkino settlement, 62 Zavodskaya St., Penal Colony No. 5, to O.A. Navalny, born in 1983;

or via FSIN-letter: Federal Penitentiary Service for Oryol Region, IK-5 Naryshkino, Oleg Anatolyevich Navalny, born in 1983.
