Fighting corruption is no less important than the “Jam Festival.” Only in the city center, where there is plenty of space.

As you may recall, Moscow City Hall informed us of the “impossibility of holding” an anti-corruption march and rally on Tverskaya Street. Then they puffed themselves up and solemnly declared that this decision was final.

Now the bureaucrats, frightened after seeing the real support for the idea of the march across the country and realizing they had violated every law imaginable, are backtracking.

They just called Zhdanov and offered Pererva Street (in Maryino, my home district) and Sokolniki. So much for their “final” decision.

Sorry, but no. You, defenders of “Dimon” (a mocking nickname for Dmitry Medvedev), already broke the law by failing to offer a venue on time.

You hold your disgusting “jam festivals,” which disgrace the city, by shutting down the entire city center. And on top of that, you throw away hundreds of millions of rubles from the budget to stage them.

What, do we have fewer rights than jam lovers?

Not to mention that 100% of jam lovers most certainly do not like corruption. Nobody likes it at all.

Our demands are reasonable and modest: close Tverskaya for a couple of hours for a march and rally. This is often done for events organized by various political groups.

If there are real arguments for why this absolutely cannot be done, then let’s discuss other central streets. Moscow’s Central Administrative District covers 66 square kilometers. What, is literally everything occupied, with nothing you can offer us?

Well then, we will act in accordance with the law and the Constitutional Court’s ruling: March 26, 2:00 p.m., any point on Tverskaya Street.

Let me remind Moscow City Hall once again: in every dispute with me on this issue, you have been wrong and I have been right. This has been definitively proven in court, and the government is now paying me compensation.

And you could also finally answer our questions and begin an open, transparent investigation. Then no one would even come to the rally.
