We held a meeting with volunteers in Stavropol — our 17th such meeting and the 17th campaign office.
It may seem like nothing can surprise us anymore, but here are a couple of facts that set the Stavropol office apart from all the others: Yaroslav Sinyugin, the coordinator of the Stavropol office, is the first regional coordinator to resign from a government job specifically to join Navalny’s team (Yaroslav worked for the local veterinary oversight authorities).
The Stavropol office is by far the largest in floor space (nearly 200 square meters) of all the regional offices already opened or still to come. Is rent there really that cheap, or have we stopped counting and taking care of the money you donate to our campaign? No: this is the only space so far (for now?) that the owner — a local businessman and Navalny supporter — has provided to us free of charge.
A lot of people came. It was great.
Next week we’re opening new offices. Tyumen and Chelyabinsk are up next, and we’ll be going there with the full team — Alexei Navalny is being released tomorrow from administrative detention.
