It hit me right in the chest when I read these words. I could never have put it better myself:
You’ll never guess who described what’s happening so accurately and truthfully.
It was Ilya Yeliseyev, one of the main figures in the investigation “He Is Not Dimon to You”. He gave an interview to the newspaper Kommersant.
He says our investigation is bad, and that everything we say belongs to Medvedev actually belongs to him.
Unfortunately, apart from the excellent paragraphs quoted above, there is not a single word of truth in that interview.
It’s a pity Yeliseyev was not asked a couple of obvious questions that instantly destroy his story:
If the estate in Plyos belongs to you and not to Medvedev, then why is a Federal Protective Service unit officially stationed there?
If the estate in Plyos belongs to you and not to Medvedev, then why is there an official no-fly zone over it? Do they close the airspace over the country house of every deputy chairman of Gazprombank?
Why did Gazprombank issue an 11 billion ruble loan to its own employee? What collateral was it secured with? How was that money repaid? Isn’t there a conflict of interest here?
And that’s just what’s right there on the surface. In fact, there are questions like these about almost every claim.
Ilya Yeliseyev is lying, and his lies are obvious.
Instead of a moral to this post, you can reread the italicized text above. It gets everything right.
If you’re tired of lies too, then come to the nationwide protest on June 12.
P.S. And here are Georgy Alburov’s first impressions of the interview:
