Sometimes it’s incredibly useful when someone sues you.
Just now, we won a case in the Lyublinsky District Court in which Sergei Anatolyevich Mikhailov had demanded the removal of our investigation, Chaika.
He absolutely does not like 11 seconds of our film—from 15:00 to 15:11.

In that segment, we call Mikhailov the leader of the Solntsevo organized crime group.
Well, in fact, we’re not the only ones:
And here’s the interesting thing that came to light. Some time ago, Mikhailov claimed on his website that he had received a commemorative watch from Putin.
The Kremlin press office officially denied it:
At the time, everyone concluded that Mikhailov was simply bragging—that he had made up the award watch and forged the “certificate of being awarded a watch.”
But this morning, a representative of citizen S.A. Mikhailov brought the following document to court:
I rule out the possibility that a forged order was submitted to the court.
So while Mikhailov—Mikhas (a well-known criminal nickname)—failed today to convince the court that he is not and never has been the leader of the Solntsevo organized crime group, he certainly did convince us that Dmitry Peskov is a liar, and that his boss—the President of the Russian Federation, V.V. Putin—really did issue a special order and award a watch to this man with such a remarkable biography.
A marvelous fact about Putin’s Russia and its heroes.
