So, overnight the decision to schedule the election was published, which means that today is the first day of the election campaign.

Congratulations to everyone.

Our current plans are based on two provisions of the law:

Article 32 of Russia’s Basic Law. Read it carefully and, if you believe you are capable of understanding the meaning of the letters, words, and sentences of the Russian language, then it should be absolutely clear to you: I have the right to take part in the election.

No lawyers or “lawyers” are needed here.

Article 34 of the federal law “On the Election of the President of the Russian Federation,” which regulates the procedure for nominating candidates. To be nominated, I need a group of at least 500 people. The notification must be submitted to the Central Election Commission (CEC) or to regional election commissions. The group does not have to be just one, so we are holding 20 of them in 20 cities across the country. Our campaign is nationwide, and we decided it was right to conduct the nomination process not only in Moscow. This morning, the relevant notifications were submitted in all those cities. The list is in the video description.

This is a very important moment. Putin, his CEC, and his courts will point to white and call it “black.” They will try to convince us that it is normal to have an election that bars the only candidate who is actually campaigning and has real public support.

And even some of those who understand that this is not normal will tell us: all right then, let’s accept at least this much. The Kremlin has at least offered us someone as our candidates. Let it be that way.

I urge you not to agree to this for even a second. We must not allow ourselves to accept that they will also take away our right to nominate our own candidate and appropriate it for themselves. That makes everything meaningless. This is not about whether you support me or not. We will never win until we nominate our own candidate. How are we supposed to win otherwise? And who are we then?

Let us demand that all candidates be allowed to run in the election. Write about it, speak about it, and take to the streets in rallies for it.

And I invite everyone who wanted to raise their hand in response to the question, “Please vote, those in favor of nominating candidate A.A. Navalny,” to join our voter groups.
