Among other things, it describes the notoriously murky and opaque scheme for transporting gas from Turkmenistan through Ukraine via pipelines owned by Gazprom.

Everyone always understood that this was a massive corruption scheme. Some obscure offshore company, ETG, was receiving billions while doing nothing.

This company was linked to the Ukrainian “businessman” (more accurately, a crook) Firtash. But it turns out it was the St. Petersburg gangsters connected to Putin.
