We’re persistent people, and we don’t drop issues just because they’ve fallen off the front pages. This is exactly the tedious but necessary political work that we do (and everyone else doesn’t).
The deputies in the State Duma (Russia’s lower house of parliament) are sitting tight and hoping that by the next election everyone will have forgotten how they voted to raise the retirement age. Our shared task is to make sure they don’t.
There’s a new version of our https://pensiya.org/ website. It now includes a section for sending letters to State Duma deputies who supported introducing the bill to raise the retirement age.
Go there, and you’ll be assigned one of these deputies at random; you write to them and, in doing so,
establish a mental connection with them.
prepare the evidence for the next election, when your letter and the deputy’s reply will become exhibits against the bastard. And we’ll use them in our work with voters.
