I’ve received a summons saying that tomorrow they’ll draw up three new charges against me. And no, it’s not about rallies, as you probably thought!
I don’t even know what exactly triggered this escalation in the Kremlin—our “Smart Voting”, or Zolotov, or Brilyov—but they’ve decided to test the latest ultra-fashionable innovation in Putin-era legislation on me.
Administrative liability (and later criminal liability) for failing to remove from the internet “defamatory information.”
Haven’t heard of it? Yes, that exists too.
Two individuals and one organization are upset and demanding revenge:
The oligarch Usmanov wants the film “He Is Not Dimon to You” removed from YouTube.
Medvedev’s Sotsgosproekt foundation (some of this crook’s palaces are registered under it) is demanding the same thing: remove “He Is Not Dimon to You.”
Sergei Mikhailov (Wikipedia tells us that he is a Russian businessman considered one of the most influential figures in the criminal underworld, known by the nickname Mikhas) wants information about how Putin gave him a watch to disappear.
And so the bailiff service, while supposedly protecting the rights and freedoms of these wonderful citizens, has informed me that tomorrow it will draw up charges against me, then send them to court—and the court may well jail me. Given my experience with the courts, I have no doubt: they will.
Well, this is essentially Medvedev’s idea. When he was asked about the film, he said essentially nothing, but did say that administrative and criminal penalties should be strengthened for such insolent people as dare not erase information at the demand of the “court.”
After that, the thieves’ Komsomol (represented by a group of vile deputies ranging from Sergei Boyarsky to Andrei Kalichenko, the first subject of “Access to Water”) snapped to attention and replied, “Yes, sir!”:
They also amended the Criminal Code specifically because of the film about Dimon:
So peace is something we can only dream of. And replacing “Do you want people running through the streets like in Ukraine?” comes: “Do you want people in godless Europe and America writing whatever they want on the internet?”
So, spread our investigations—there’s no one but you to do it.
And take part in “Smart Voting” against the party of crooks and thieves.
