The fact that the Saint Petersburg city authorities are now packed with utterly hopeless people is perfectly clear from the way they break up rallies, the scale on which they steal, and the various stupid things they do, like inspecting film director Sokurov’s foundation.

But now there is a new boss there — acting governor Beglov. He plans to become governor in September next year. And this guy has decided to show us the true meaning of the phrase “brazen ghouls in government offices.”

A lawsuit has been filed against Denis Mikhailov, the coordinator of our headquarters in St. Petersburg, and Bogdan Litvin, coordinator of the Vesna (“Spring”) movement. It is over the May 5 rally “He Is Not Our Tsar.”

For 11 million rubles.

No, you didn’t misread that. 11 million rubles for a rally. Apparently, the people of St. Petersburg trampled the lawns while protesting unfair elections and authoritarian rule. Take a look:

Want to walk the streets of your own city whenever you feel like it?

Then pay up. Pay a lot. Beglov, Albin, and the rest of the gang need a lot of money. The cormorants will peck everything away.

I call on all city residents to unite against this mafia, take part in Smart Voting, and crush these scumbags in the municipal and gubernatorial elections in September.

We will strengthen our headquarters in St. Petersburg and get seriously to work on this.
