December is that time of year when everyone is scrambling to wrap things up and make plans for the year ahead. Crooks are hurriedly finishing off what they didn’t have time to loot, while we’re already thinking about how we’ll fight them in 2019. And of course, we’re taking stock.
But more on the results later—for now, a few words about the people who help the Anti-Corruption Foundation make plans and believe in life after New Year’s: our regular donors, also known as recurring donors. It is thanks to them—the people who have set up monthly donations to ACF—that we know for sure we’ll have money to pay salaries, rent office space, buy new equipment to replace what has been confiscated, and so on.
We try to thank these people as often as possible, and by now it’s become a New Year’s tradition to send them gifts. First it was calendars with portraits of corrupt officials, then postcards, and this year it’s this set of magnets.
